Restaurant.com 80% Off Promo

Anyone familiar with restaurant.com? They're currently running an 80% off promo, which means you can get $25 gift certificates for $2. I'm all about that. The code to enter at check out is SHARE, and it's valid through Wednesday, 9/22. Enjoy!

Free Chick-fil-A

For anyone who lives in an area with Chick-fil-A restaurants, you can sign up for a free order of spicy chicken nuggets! They offered the same promo when they released their spicy chicken sandwich, and both Buppy & I signed up for it. We each got a free sandwich, split an order of fries and got the kids an order of nuggets. Made for a very affordable lunch. Enjoy!chick fil a Pictures, Images and Photos

Bridezilla, The Tasting & Some Deals

I have to be to work at 4pm tomorrow so my newly-booked wedding can have their tasting. This woman is nuts. The price point we're working with is extremely low, yet they seem to be expecting lobster on their burger budget. It took us 2 hours of discussion last week just to decide what they want to taste tomorrow. And let me tell you, nothing came from our original wedding menus. Does the word "demanding" mean anything to you? Ugh. Part of me really wishes it were ealier in the day so as not to interupt right around dinner time, but so life goes.

I think Buppy's taking the kids to a local fire dept. carnival tomorrow if the weather is nice. We talked about it like a month ago when they first put up the signs for it, then I completely forgot. I can't ride carnival rides anyway 'cause I get way super sick, but a funnel cake wouldn't have been all bad. Again, so goes life.

I received the new computer my sister sent me last night. Not brand-spankin'-new, but a lot newer than the 3 Buppy and I have at home right now. Let's just say the ones we have aren't really up to speed. This new one is great. Love-love-love it! Even though she told me to just keep it and not pay her at all, I'll still send her a check. However, it won't cost me anything close to what a new computer would, and it still works just as well for my needs. Woot!

I hope I get to leave early again today; yesterday the boss lady packed up at 4:45pm or so and said I could do the same. I normally stay until 6pm, so it was nice to head home early. Still got caught in traffic, but arrived home earlier than normal nonetheless. And I biked, too! Yay me!

Speaking of, I'm trying to exercise more regularily now. I always say I want to, but follow through is hard. Isn't it always when it comes to exercise --- or is that just me? Anyway, I biked 50 min. on Sat. & Sun., then Monday Buppy and I walked around Six Flags, so that was my work out [Six Flags is really spread out!]. Tuesday we walked our neighborhood, Wednesday was my day of rest, and I biked for an hour last night. With Buppy going to day work, hopefully this can become something we do together in the evenings, whether it be walking our neighborhood, biking or using our elliptical. Ah, now to stick with it!

For anyone who uses restaurant.com for their gift certificates, they're currently running a 70% off promo, now through Monday, 6/7. The code to enter at checkout is EAT.

Also, for any Redbox users, I received an email that they're running a promo from 6/1-6/30. This is what my email said:

"HOW IT WORKS: When you rent two or more movies at regular price in a single transaction we'll send you a promo code in three days for a free* rental. Just provide a valid email at checkout and that's it. Please note, only one free rental per person, per day will be awarded."

So there you have it. If you've got some new releases you've been itchin' to see, go rent 'em and get a 3rd one free. Hmmmm, I want Alice in Wonderland and what else........?

Restaurant.com Promo

I always get email updates about new promo codes to use when ordering gift certificates from restaurant.com and never think to post them. Well, for anyone who doesn't get those emails, there is currently an 80% off promo running on their site, promo code COOK. Eighty percent off of a $25 gift certificate [cost to you: $10] means that you can score a $25 gift certificate for $2.

I wish there were more restaurants in my area, but I can't really complain since I live so close to Bmore and there are plenty of options for stuff in the city. Never been to their site? Click
here, enter your zip code and shop away. Enjoy!

Restaurant.com 80% Promo

Restaurant.com has been emailing me a lot of different promo codes all summer long, with the 80% off ones being the best deal. Well, it's back again until Aug. 31st (at midnight) --- 80% off any gift certificate(s) using code TASTE at checkout. As I've said before, Buppy and I use these certificates every now and then for a fun night out at discounted prices.

Another Restaurant.com Promo

As I said in a recent post, Buppy and I frequently use Restaurant.com to score some great gift certificates if we're in the mood to go out eat. They recently had an 80% promo going on, which made their $25 certificates only $2! They have a new promo that is running from now until Thursday, Aug. 6th for 50% off (making $25 gift certificates $5 for most restaurants). But wait....right now, they're also giving away a free $10 gift certificate with every order. Generally what happens, from my experience anyway, is you place the order for whatever you want and then they email you a code for a free $10 certificate, so you can use it on a completely different restaurant than what you ordered certificates for if you so choose. The code for this promo is SUPPER. Enjoy!

Restaurant.com 80% off Extended!

Buppy and I are definitely fans of Restaurant.com, although over time we've figured out how to get the most use out of their certificates. It takes a little trial and error to figure out how to use them to your benefit since, a lot of time, there are certain restrictions. One such restriction that we came upon and learned about the hard way is the "valid with purchase of $35/2 entrees." We thought (silly us) that this meant either/or, not both. We could order at least $35 worth of food or 2 entrees(it's not a cheap place, so this made sense). Not the case.

The restaurant that this particular certificate was for is a tapas restaurant, so the majority of the menu is tapas food, not entrees. I think there were 5 or 6 entrees to choose from out of the entire 2 page (long pages!) menu. Our waiter informed us though, as we sat down to eat, that we were required to order 2 entrees and to spend at least $35. Normally this wouldn't be a big deal for us, but when the restaurant is a tapas restaurant, it doesn't seem quite right. We would have gladly forked over $35 if we could have spent it on a variety of tapas dishes, but that was not an option. The experience wasn't overly pleasant and we won't be going back.

It did teach us, however, to pay close attention to the restrictions on each and every certificate we're thinking of purchasing. And if we have any questions, we call the restaurant to get them answered before buying. We pay attention to minimum food purchase amounts, days of the week it's valid (or not valid), if it includes alcohol, etc. These can all play a big part in us deciding which restaurants we want to try and which don't seem worth it to us.

With that all being said, restaurant.com does have some wicked deals at times. Frequently a person can find promo codes for anywhere from 50%-80% off their certificates. An 80% off promo was supposed to end earlier this week, but they're extending it to Friday, 7/31. The code to enter at checkout is NAPKIN. The $25 certificates are usually $10 on the site, so that means with 80% off, they're only $2! And since most $10 certificates are only $4, they're now .80 cents! Ok, off you go to explore the site and find a new restaurant to try with you and someone special!
